In this passage Jesus teaches that not just any man has seen the Father. He points out that only those which are of God have seen the Father.
Wednesday, October 31st, 2007John 6 - I am that bread of life
When Jesus is tempted in the wilderness, he reveals a great truth in his rebuke of the tempter as He proclaims, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
Tuesday, October 16th, 2007John 15:1-6 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
Whether a tree or a branch, the primary lesson is that if a person does not produce fruit, he will be removed from the source that permits him to be fruitful.
Monday, October 15th, 2007Does God choose who He draws to Him?
I found this question, in regards to John 6:44 and John 6:65, posted to another blog. An attempt was made to answer the question, but was poorly handled. I have chosen to use these same questions, which seems very general and could easily be asked by anyone, to provided answers in accordance with a proper understanding of Gods true grace.

Friday, July 27th, 2007John 1:12-13 To them gave he power to become the sons of God
Most of Israel rejected Jesus as the Christ. Others accepted Him as the Christ, but did not believe in Him, while others did. It was to these last two groups that Jesus gave the liberty to become “sons” of God. These are “sons” not by the offering of sacrifice, the inclination of the human nature, or by the choice of moral excellence, but because they have been taught of God through the Holy Spirit.
Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father draw him
Jesus was in fact stating that no man can come to Him, no one can convert, unless the Father first delivers the person into Christ’s care by rescuing him from the power of darkness, which is the second birth or regeneration.
Friday, May 4th, 2007John 3:8 So is every one that is born of the Spirit
Nicodemus comes to Jesus under the cover of darkness seeking answers. Jesus reveals to him that he is able to “see” because he has been born again, being washed by the water of regeneration, but that he now needs to be converted, born of the Spirit, to “enter into” the kingdom of heaven.
Wednesday, May 2nd, 2007John 3:5 Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God
In John 3:5 Jesus reveals that a person must meet two conditions before he can “enter into” the kingdom of Heaven. The first condition, which he discusses in John 3:3 is regeneration and must be performed by God and is the washing of regeneration. The second condition, being born of the Spirit is known as conversion and is accomplished when a person repents and walks after the Holy Spirit.
Tuesday, April 10th, 2007John 3:3 Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Seeing is more than believing in this passage. This passage reveals not only the truly deprived nature of man without the Spirit but also reveals the reasons why.
