At regeneration one is adopted by God as His child. At regeneration one is adopted by God as His child. During regeneration a change in ownership also occurs. And there is a loosening which occurs, the shackles are removed and the way of escape is made possible.

I have chosen to use these same questions, which seems very general and could easily be asked by anyone, to provided answers in accordance with a proper understanding of Gods true grace.

Paul reveals a distinct difference between death - condemnation - and sin. The transgression of Adam brought the judgement of death upon all of mankind, and the righteousness of Christ brought the judgement of life to all of God’s elect. Consider the question, “If your sins did not bring the condemnation upon you, then how can your repentance of them, excuse you from the condemnation?”

Nicodemus comes to Jesus under the cover of darkness seeking answers. Jesus reveals to him that he is able to “see” because he has been born again, being washed by the water of regeneration, but that he now needs to be converted, born of the Spirit, to “enter into” the kingdom of heaven.

In John 3:5 Jesus reveals that a person must meet two conditions before he can “enter into” the kingdom of Heaven. The first condition, which he discusses in John 3:3 is regeneration and must be performed by God and is the washing of regeneration. The second condition, being born of the Spirit is known as conversion and is accomplished when a person repents and walks after the Holy Spirit.
