John 9:4 Healing powers to be no more

John 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

Jesus fore tells of the time to come when no man would be able to perfrom miracles and no man would be able to heal. Even Paul, toward the end of his ministry, reveals that he is no longer able to heal.

The significance of 70 A.D.

70 A.D. marked the "time of the end", not the end of time. At this time, a very important event took place, that is rarely, if ever, mentioned or studied in churches today. It marked the completed transition of the new Kingdom of Heaven. It was the fulfillment of prophecy regarding the destruction of Jerusalem, carried out by the Roman armies under Titus. In 66 A.D., Cestius Gallus marched his twelfth legion from Antioch and surrounded the city, and could have taken it easily. But instead, and for no aparrent reason, he left. This is known as the greatest military blunder of all time and was the fulfillment of Luke 21:20. This stirred the Jewish rebellion with false hope, and greatly angered Rome. In 70 A.D. Titus, son of Emperor Vespasian and prince of Rome, united four Roman legions and destroyed the city of Jerusalem and its temple. This was the end of the nation of Israel as Gods chosen people. It was the end of the Old Testament, the Levitical Law and ceremonies. It was the end of animal sacrifice. It was the end of God dwelling on earth in man made buildings.
