Those who continue patiently in doing good while seeking for glory, honour, and immortality, are given eternal life.
This is by way of the earnest (Ephesians 1:14) of the inheritance, which we recieve by faith, and is a current possession. This is not a reference to the full inheritance, given at adoption and reserved for us in immortal heaven.
