Ephesians 1:11-12 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance

Ephesians 1:11-12  In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

The chosen of God, being predestinated to adoption, were also predestinated to receive an inheritance of eternal life and eternal salvation. Again, they were predestinated according to the purpose of God, who does this according to the decision He made, in accordance with His own desire. Clearly stated, His decision was not based upon what we would or would not do. See my exposition on the foreknowledge of God for further study.
