Paul reveals a distinct difference between death - condemnation - and sin. The transgression of Adam brought the judgement of death upon all of mankind, and the righteousness of Christ brought the judgement of life to all of God’s elect. Consider the question, “If your sins did not bring the condemnation upon you, then how can your repentance of them, excuse you from the condemnation?”
